A few weeks ago I had the lovely privilege of shooting another wedding in Sydney for the lovely couple Fay & Justin. It turned out to be one of the most crazy and challenging wedding shoots I've done. This was nothing to do with Fay & Justin, they were fantastic to work with, but I've never seen so many wedding on one day! Everywhere we went (admittedly we did pick some of the more popular places around the rocks and harbour foreshore) it seemed every girl in Sydney was getting married.... bridal parties everywhere jostling & queuing for the best spots. When we drove up to Observatory Hill it looked like we'd stumbled onto a movie set. Couples dressed up to the nines dotted all over the hillside with their entourages, camera and video crews etc.etc. I really don't know how Sydney photographers do that every weekend! It is so hard to get some nice romantic shots without a million people in the background.
So anyway, despite all the challenges I'm very proud of the shots we were able to get. Some traditional ones with the iconic landmarks of Sydney and some that are a bit different and feature the gorgeous textures and colours in some of Sydney's beautiful sandstone around the Rocks area. The ceremony was a Greek Orthodox one at Bondi and the reception was at the Pavillion in the Botanic Gardens.
