This wedding was a delightful afternoon spent at Poacher's Pantry. A vey nice relaxed affair with a country feel. Good food, great couple & beautiful surroundings....Congratulations Julia & Shane.
This is from a recent wedding I did at Robertson which I will be posting soon. We did part of the photo shoot at the Illawarra Fly on a very misty & rainy day, which allowed me to get this unique perspective looking down through the top of a tree.
Seeing as i've been slack the last 3 weeks and there hasn't been a photo of the week because I've been on holidays etc I though instead of one photo this week I'd give you a little collection. Over the holidays we spent a few days staying with some friends out on their farm in Michealgo. It's a really lovely place to relax and unwind in the country. So here's a series of shots I took while there.......Mmmmmm I think this would make a nice exhibition - "One Day in Michelago". See if you can spot the plane in one of the photos.
This was (unexpectedly) one of the funnest weddings of the year. I was a bit worried how it would go as when I first met Emma last year she was quite shy and reserved. But not on her wedding day! We had a ball. After getting ready at the Hotel Realm we went to the ceremony at Duntroon chapel. A feature of the ceremony was a dove release which we got great photos of - doves are notoriously very hard to shoot! Our first location was the old derelict tennis courts at Duntroon which I thought made a fabulously different and textured backdrop.
Emma plays the piano so we chose two locations to get some piano shots for her. After the success of the photo shoot at Knightsbride bar earlier in the year (See blog entry for Marijana & Anthony) I thought that would be one good location as I remembered they had an old piano. And we also used the baby grand at the Hyatt later on. Next it was off to where they first met at the ANU Gym where we had fun playing with the gym balls and weights. We also re-enacted the aerobics class where Joel first eyed Emma! Then we did some photos in Glebe Park to feature the cars and finally it was off to the Parlour Bar at New Acton. Before we went inside I noticed some gorgeous lavender in full flower that I just had to make use of. The reception was at the War Memorial. Congratulations Emma & Joel. Thank you for being such great models and for such a wonderful day.
Well back from holidays.... wow, they went really quick! So much work to catch up on including lots of blogging. First up is the delightful couple Lauren & James who were married at Holy Trinity in Curtin. James parents are our neighbours in Barton and you couldn't ask for better neighbours. So it was an absolute delight to have the privilege of shooting their sons wedding. We shot around Dunrossil Drive, Lennox Gardens, The John Curtin School at ANU, and in some grass at the side of the road near their reception at the Commonwealth Club!
Just received word that I was awarded 7 x Silver Awards of Excellence in the Canon Creative Asia Photography Awards. Also 5 of my images have been selected as finalists in all four wedding categories for the final round of judging on the 19th January......
